Virtual Interview Protocol

Amid pandemic and lockdown, we switched to the online interviews. In the last three months, while conducting the interviews, we faced many difficulties where candidates got rejected and sometimes failed to complete the interviews in spite of being capable and having good knowledge of the work

Protocols to be followed while appearing for an interview  

Prepare yourself and do your homework before applying for a particular job. Thoroughly go through the job description and company profile you are applying for.

1. You should have complete knowledge of the subject and current profile.

2. Self Practice: Take out time to practise the online interview prior to facing the actual one.

3. Check your network connectivity

4. An updated version of the apps to be installed on your system like ZOOM, Skype, Facetime.

5. Login 5 minutes before the scheduled time.

6. Right Space: While choosing the right corner or space for an online interview, make sure that the corner has proper visibility with proper lighting.

7. Dress Code: Wear formals while sitting for an interview. It makes an immediate impact on the interviewer and shows how sincere you are to take this job.

8. Maintain good body posture with your back straight.

9. Focus on the screen and maintain good eye contact. Avoid distractions

11. Conversation: While conversing maintain the tone of your voice. It should neither be too loud nor too slow.
