Experience Details

Eight (8) years of experience in Refinery Rotating Equipment Maintenance Workshops, of which at least Four (4) years in a similar position.

Skills

·         Strong knowledge in maintaining and repairing rotating mechanical equipment.

 

·         Strong knowledge in rotating equipment design, installation and maintenance.

 

·         Good knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles and working procedures.

 

·         Ability to assess equipment conditions from onsite inspection and interpretation of instruments.

 

·         Strong communication and people skills.

 

·         Ability to perform work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

 

·         Capable of handling multiple tasks.

Good commands of oral and written English.

Role

1.     Observe and coordinate the day to-day activities of rotating equipment maintenance workshop activities.

2.     Contribute to the implementation of maintenance plans and strategies (corrective, preventive and predictive) in coordination with all concerned personnel.

3.     Supervise the activities of all rotating equipment contractors to ensure their adherence to the Company policies and procedures and all works completed are within the specified plans and standards.

4.     Provide an input to rotating equipment maintenance plans and schedules according to risk based maintenance and availability of spare parts, resources and tools in order minimize downtime and disruption to production operations.

5.     Ensure that rotating equipment maintenance works and activities are suitably executed and budget requirements are achieved.

6.     Supervise all workshop equipment, tools and materials; and ensure that the same is systematically logged and maintained.

7.     Ensure that all safety measures and requirements are properly adhered to by all rotating equipment workshop personnel.

8.     Ensure that all rotating equipment workshop’s personnel are technically qualified and are competently able to perform the job.

9.     Perform ongoing inspections to ensure the quality of the works achieved.

10.  Assist in managing workshop service contractors, contractual compliance, contract budget control and ensuring quality and effective maintenance response/service.

11.  Ensure SATORP’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) policies/programs are implemented within the workshop services section either in internal workshops or external workshops.

12.  Keep a record of all information with regards to external workshops performance and services quality and participate in setting and measuring their Key Performance Indicators.

13.  Plan and assign rotating equipment workshop’s personnel, materials and equipment and maintain direct communications with area operations and area maintenance personnel to coordinate and prioritize works.

14.  Coordinate with the Warehouse Technicians to ensure the appropriate stock levels of all required spare parts, materials, equipment and tools.

15.  Act as a coach to the workshop personnel, help identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent Workshop.
